Paul returns to LCCC as Head Coach


Leicestershire County Cricket Club has announced that Paul has returned to the Fischer County Ground as Head Coach. Paul represented the Foxes across four decades in a highly successful playing career that saw him score 19,418 runs, claim 1,231 dismissals and lift five trophies at the club. The 46-year-old also represented England in ODIs and a T20I and has since worked successfully as a coach, winning the Caribbean Premier League twice in three attempts with Jamaica Tallawahs. Out and About with Paul Nixon Sport Foundation


Paul Nixon Sport Foundation has been very busy recently and chances are you may have seen them out and about in the County. The Foundation has been  helping out at various primary schools across Leicestershire, promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and encouraging good competition. Paul Coaches Promising Youngsters at Lord’s


At a recent event at Lord’s Cricket Ground, lucky youngsters from Barrow Hill Junior School were given the chance of one-to-one coaching with Paul as guest of organizers, Arnold House School. Foundation Game v Dartfield Foundation


Paul recently brought his academy youngsters from Leicester to play a friendly cricket fixture against the Dartfield Cricket Academy based at Barnsley. The Paul Nixon Cricket Foundation based in Leicester helps learners achieve a NVQ qualification whilst developing their cricket skills under the former wicket keepers guidance. The academy is an affiliation of Paul Nixon’s own foundation with Nixon visiting on a regular basis to play games and deliver coaching sessions to the academy youngsters. Jamaica Tallawahs lift inaugural CPL title


The Tallawahs, coached by Paul Nixon, defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain on August 24, 2013 by seven wickets with 15 balls remaining to win the inaugural edition of the Caribbean Premier League. The final saw three brilliant bowling performances – Tallawahs’ Vernon Philander (3-0-8-0) and Muttiah Muralitharan (4-0-13-0); and Sunil Narine of Warriors who had figures of 4-0-9-0.   Photos courtesy of CPL T20 Ltd
