Foundation Game v Dartfield Foundation

Paul recently brought his academy youngsters from Leicester to play a friendly cricket fixture against the Dartfield Cricket Academy based at Barnsley.

The Paul Nixon Cricket Foundation based in Leicester helps learners achieve a NVQ qualification whilst developing their cricket skills under the former wicket keepers guidance.

The academy is an affiliation of Paul Nixon’s own foundation with Nixon visiting on a regular basis to play games and deliver coaching sessions to the academy youngsters.

Paul said “It’s great to bring my own learners up to Barnsley and play a friendly game of cricket with our academy partners. It is a great set up at the Community Cricket Academy and the players have certainly developed from the last time I visited, which is great to see”.

James Ward academy director at the Dartfield Cricket Academy added “It was nice to see Paul up here again, he’s a regular visitor and the youngsters love it when he’s around. He’s a very inspiring and motivating character and it’s great to work in partnership with him”.
